About King of Diamonds — The Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show
The Songs of a Generation. Live in Las Vegas.
Neil Diamond retired from the stage in 2018. But in Las Vegas, the music never stopped.
King of Diamonds is the only authentic Neil Diamond tribute show in Las Vegas — and for 30 years, Rob Garrett has been recognized as America's #1 Neil Diamond tribute artist. Backed by a full live band in an intimate 100-seat venue, Rob captures Diamond's signature sound, his warmth, his storytelling, and the songs that have defined generations. This is as close as you'll ever get to the real thing.
A Legacy Worth Celebrating
Neil Diamond sold over 135 million records, earned ten #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Guest Reviews
Great performance by the entire band.
We were seated, which is a nice touch. The seating was the most comfortable we have had, the auditorium temperature was comfortable, not ice cold, like we expected. Rob Garrett and Band were great! We would recommend this show for any Neil Diamond fan! This band is outstanding! Well done!
Really great show, took my Mom Saturday 10/10 for her 73rd bday. The seats were so comfortable and spacious, the waitress was so nice, and the cocktails were delicious. The performance was great. I loved how there was a literally history about Neil in between songs! A must for any Neil fans my Mom had a blast!
All good. Nice show. Very passionate.
The show was fantastic. As an avid Neil Diamond fan, who literally wore out his albums by playing them so much that they couldn't be played anymore, I can say that Rob Garrett had every move, mannerism, and note perfect. He is the best Neil Diamond tribute performer I've ever seen. My family and friends had a great evening at this intimate theater where every seat is terrific. Parking was easy (and free). I heartily recommend this show to all Neil Diamond fans, which, I think, includes nearly everyone.
This was a fun show and Rob Garrett does an excellent job entertaining attendees, sharing stories of Neil’s songs and he and the bands performance of the songs was very good. It was nice that he took time to meet attendees afterwards for photos and conversation. It was a lightly attended show that evening but if you’re a fan of Neil Diamond’s music I think you’d enjoy it. Thank you Rob for honoring legend that is Neil Diamond!!!
Knew it was a tribute show but too much dialogue between songs. He did do the famous ones. Band was terrific.
The small venue makes for a very intimate show with lots of personality from the performers. We had a great time and would recommend for a nice night out for a very reasonable price.
Excellent review of Neil Diamond’s music and the stories behind the songs
The act was very good but the right speaker was not working. Singers vocals were all from the left speaker. Band sounded good.
I enjoyed Mr. Garrett performance as well as his band. Excellent performance

About the Real Neil Diamond
Neil Diamond wrote his way into American music twice over — first as a Brill Building songwriter whose credits others made famous (I'm a Believer for The Monkees), then as one of the biggest live draws of the seventies and eighties in his own right. Sweet Caroline, released in 1969, has outlived nearly everything else from that year by becoming a singalong: ballparks, weddings, and every bar at closing time.
His Las Vegas history runs deep. He headlined the Aladdin in the early seventies and returned to the city repeatedly across five decades, and his 1972 Hot August Night — recorded in Los Angeles but pure showroom in spirit — is still the template for how a solo performer holds a large room with nothing but songs and a band.
In January 2018 Diamond announced he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and retired from touring, cutting short his fiftieth-anniversary tour. He has made only rare appearances since. There is no Neil Diamond show to see any more.
King of Diamonds is the Las Vegas tribute that fills that gap — the catalogue performed live at the Athena Showlounge, built around the songs rather than an impression.
